Middle East Prayer Update ©Asher Intrater September 21, 2007 Israel Security Although the Israeli government has maintained silence on the subject, it appears obvious that a secret air attack has successfully destroyed a site deep into eastern Syria where material for nuclear weapons and missiles had been transported in from North Korea and Iran. Israel faces four different fronts of Islamic Jihad:
Six months ago the Israeli government was near collapse in the aftermath of the War in Lebanon and from corruption charges among government officials. That situation has stabilized somewhat due to the following factors:
Prayer for Israel's security is a continuing priority as we approach end times prophecies (Zechariah 14, Ezekiel 38). Anti-Missionary Efforts In recent weeks certain ultra-Orthodox religious groups have put pressure on the Israeli government to stop so-called "missionary" activity in Israel. Please pray for this prophetic and historic celebration to be a spiritual breakthrough and advancement for the kingdom of God. Palestinian Evangelism Our friends and members of the ministry team that gives humanitarian aid and shares the gospel with Muslims in the West Bank are continuing their work despite great adversity. Although they have been attacked spiritually and physically, the former Muslim believers are growing in numbers and in faith. The West Bank has been caught in the struggle between Hamas and Fatah, although some new stability has come in with the new Fatah government under prime minister Salam Fayad. These dear Palestinian Christians need our support in prayer, love, and finances.
Please PRAY for our ongoing ministry in Israel of indigenous evangelism, planting Messianic congregations, the discipleship training center, prophetic praise and prayer watches in Hebrew, and financial aid for the needy.
