David Shiskoff

David was born to Jewish hippie parents in Southwest USA. While he was still a child, his family came to faith in Yeshua as a result of a supernatural-vision experience. Later they reconnected with their Jewish roots and moved to Maryland to join a Messianic congregation named Beth Messiah, where Asher Intrater served as an elder. David was a leader in the congregational youth group and for the national UMJC youth conferences. He says: "It was an adventure to be part of this small group of crazy Jews and Gentiles rediscovering the reality of the first century Jewish believers."

As a young teen, the words of the prophets and the songs of "Lamb" began stirring in his heart about the return of the exiles to Israel. In high school and college he began consciously planning to live and work in Israel after finishing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He says: "I somehow did not picture myself staying in the US, although I could have earned considerably more as an engineer working in the 'old country.'"

Soon after being discharged from active duty in the IDF (Israeli Army), David married a Sabra (Israeli born) wife, Orit. Being with her and her Moroccan Jewish family brought him even further into the Israeli reality. He subsequently worked for seven years as a practicing civil engineer for two Israeli engineering design firms dealing with water resources.

David and Orit have 4 boys all under 10 years of age. They were part of founding the Tents of Mercy Congregation in northern Israel under David's father, Eitan Shishkoff.
In 2004 they were sent out to join Asher Intrater and Revive Israel Ministries. Since then they have been part of building the Revive Israel Discipleship Training School and more recently, Ahavat Yeshua Congregation.

David functions in a coordinating role in matters of discipleship training, staff oversight, general administration, and ministry strategy for Revive Israel Ministries. In addition, he serves as a worship leader for daily prayer, as a liaison for International guests and both he and his wife manage the children's program at the congregation.
